The story
Cash released from slow stock
Loaf & Ledger sold beautifully and still struggled to pay suppliers on time. The reason was on the shelves: £41,000 of stock, much of it moving once a month.
We pulled sales by product and by hour, set reorder points for the top 60 lines and made a clearance calendar for the rest. A printed closing checklist cut the nightly close from an hour to 25 minutes.
Six weeks later stock stood at £19,000 with no gaps on the busy lines, and the owner took her first full weekend off in two years.
In their words
I stopped guessing what to order. The shelves look fuller and there is money in the bank.
